How did you design a quality program that works?

We made the development of world-class Quality system a company goal.  We hired a Global Quality Manager with an extensive Automotive and Aerospace background.  We task each division of our team with meeting the same ridiculously high metric standards.   Then we track our performance vs. the goals we establish.  Then we keep moving the target higher and higher.  It’s a never ending process and we aim to provide our customers with the highest quality products.
